Proposed Initiatives

 

My proposed initiatives cater to the challenges faced by various groups within our fraternity and also students.

I firmly believe these will aid in achieving ICAI’s Vision 2030.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT

  • LEAP
    Leadership & entrepreneurial Advancement Program for emerging leaders on a quarterly basis by professors from top B- schools and eminent ICAI members. This will make the members industry/practice ready.

  • CAVaani –  Podcast platform for CAs
    Build a technical podcast platform or tie-up with existing platforms for streaming CPE approved content (eg. Lumiq). These podcasts should be created involving regulators, practicing members and members in industry.
  • SheLeads
    Career re-start program for women CAs with career break.

Global Outreach

  • ICAI BRIDGE 
    Collaborate with ICAI chapters abroad and aid in business expansion and office set-up for Indian CA firms. (*BRIDGE – Building Relationships & International Development for Growth & Expansion)
  • ICAI Global Launchpad
    As global businesses expand, demand for Indian Chartered Accountants is growing across the globe. Fireside sessions with leaders from global organizations will be conducted once a month to increase members’ awareness of such opportunities and how to access them.
  • Global Pragati
    Enable internship opportunities with Global MNCs (remote and secondment) as part of industrial training and post qualification. This program equips interns with hands-on experience in real-world projects, fostering industry readiness. Additionally, post-qualification placements offer valuable exposure to international business practices, enhancing career prospects globally.

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

  • Future Forward
    Work with schools, colleges and local bodies to create more awareness about chartered accountancy and enable more enrollments by creating single window student enrollment desk and other similar initiatives.

  • CPE Synergy
    Seamless integration for capturing CPE hours for industry knowledge sharing programs at respective locations.
  • GROW (Graduate Resources for Opportunities and Work)
    Build a network of graduation colleges and provide short term internship opportunities which will bridge the resource gap for young members and enable them to take on more engagements and opportunities.
  • Digi-Upakara
    Make laptops or tablets affordable and accessible to ICAI Students and young members by collaboration.
  • CA CoLab
    Create a platform to let out vacant desks in existing office space of members for other members in need to access. This will promote collaboration among CAs and help in networking. Collaborate with T-Hub or other leading co-working spaces and provide access to professional meeting environment to smaller firms
